41st Annual Greek Orthodox Food Festival Begins June 12 In Aliquippa

Food, music, dancing, and singing; the Aliquippa Greek Orthodox Food Festival returns to the Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church on Davidson Street in Aliquippa. The festival runs from Monday, June 12th to Saturday, June 17th.

George Kazas, church member and expert of the Food Festival, joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County on June 8 to discuss the events of this year’s festival, including returning items as well as new features courtesy of local businesses.

Notes on Local Entertainment Update!

Aliquippa Homicide Trial Begins

The prosecution will call its first witness this morning in a Beaver County murder trial. 42-year-old Omar Griffin of Aliquippa is one of two men accused of killing Dre’von Jackson, a young Aliquippa father, who was shot on a city street in August of 2016. A jury has been selected and will hear details of the circumstances leading to the man’s death.
