Mike Sullivan Disappointed In Penguins’ Output After Winnipeg Loss

The Pittsburgh Penguins have fallen to 0-4 in the second game of back-to-backs, losing to the Winnipeg Jets 7-1 at the MTS Centre Sunday night. The Pens’ goal differential in those four games (all road games) is an alarming -24, with Matt Murray giving up 10 goals over 68:51 of playing time in two of those four games (including the first 18:07 of last night).

Coach Mike Sullivan spoke after the game last night, and he feels a part of this solution will be for his players to get back to what needs done on the ice, even if it’s a “thankless task”:

 

When asked about the reality of his team playing back-to-back games for the 4th time this year, Sullivan said it was more a matter of effort:
