A male body was pulled from the Ohio River last night in Monaca. According to the Beaver County coroner’s office, the body was recovered at around 7 p-m by a local water rescue crew. No word on the name or age of the man. The cause and manner of the man’s death are under investigation and awaiting an autopsy.

“The Hunchback Of Notre Dame” To Close Out 2017 Season At Lincoln Park
The Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center is presenting the Stephen Schwartz & Alan Menken musical “The Hunchback Of Notre Dame” for two weekends this month; June 16-18 and the following weekend, June 23-25.
Justin Fortunato, the artistic director at LPPAC, joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County to discuss this upcoming performance at the school, which will close out the 2016-17 main series.

Guns, Drugs Confiscated From Midland Home; 1 Arrested
A Midland borough man has been arrested on weapons and drug charges. Police found more than a dozen guns as well as drugs and cash in Corey Cooper-Hanlon’s home, which is located in a neighborhood where there are also several schools and churches. Police said they confiscated 13 guns, cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills. According to authorities, Cooper-Hanlon is a convicted felon and isn’t allowed to have weapons. Police say Cooper-Hanlon was on their radar for about two weeks, after some help from neighbors..and they say that when they arrested him, he told them that he didn’t hurt anyone and was only trying to make a living.
Route 65 In Freedom To Close This Weekend
IF YOU’RE PLANNING ON DRIVING ON ROUTE 65 THIS WEEKEND, GET READY FOR SIGNIFICANT DELAYS. PENNDOT HAS ANNOUNCED THAT NORTHBOUND ROUTE 65 IN FREEDOM WILL BE CLOSED FROM FRIDAY NIGHT TO MONDAY MORNING. SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 65 WILL BE REDUCED TO A SINGLE LANE FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. THE REASON FOR THE CLOSURES IS TO ALLOW CREWS TO CONDUCT PAINTING ON THE BRIDGE THAT CARRIES TRAFFIC FROM THIRD AVENUE TO SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 65. IT’S ALL PART OF A ROUTE 65 PROJECT THAT WILL CONCLUDE IN OCTOBER. DETOURS WILL BE POSTED.
