  • A $25.00 Gift Certificate to Beaver County Fruit and Garden Centers.   Value:  $25.00. Opening Bid is $13.00.
  • $25.00 Gift Card to Ponderosa Steakhouse, Chippewa.  Valued at $25.00. Starting Bid is $13.00.
  • Dinner for Two at Texas Roadhouse, Wagner Road, Monaca.   Valued up to $30.00.  Opening bid is $15.00.

Winning bidders will be announced on the air and then are instructed to call WBVP and WMBA offices at 724-846-4100 following the program to confirm their bids.  Items can be paid for and picked up at WBVP-WMBA, 1316 7th Avenue in Beaver Falls, PA 15010 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.

Police Seek Help In Identifying Center Township Armed Robbery Suspect

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in an armed robbery in Center Township. Investigators said the suspect walked into the Marathon Gas Station on Broadhead Road just after 7 p.m. on Oct. 25. Surveillance video shows the suspect approach the counter with an item to purchase, then grabbing cash after the clerk opens the register. Once the suspect has the cash, the video shows the suspect turn to leave but returned to the register to grab the item he brought to the counter. He then ran out the front door. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect in the video is asked to contact Center Township Police at 724-774-3329.

Bucs Pick up Club option on Andrew Mc Cutchen

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced to that they have picked up the club option on the final year of Andrew Mc Cutchen’s contract. Cutch will make around 14.5 million next year. This doesn’t mean the Pirates are not going to trade him over the winter it just insures the Pirates will get something in return if they do trade him. The Pirates also declined to pick up the club option for Chris Stewart and Wade LeBlanc making them both free agents. Beaver County Commissioner Tony Amadio: Do We Even Need To Take Minutes At Work Session Anyway?

The Beaver County Commissioners continue to search for answers as to why the content of at least one set of meeting minutes was changed…and who made the changes. This morning on our Ask the Commissioners segment during Teleforum, Commissioners Chairman Sandie Egley attempted to shed some light on the minutes controversy….

Commissioner Tony Amadio questioned the need to take meeting minutes for the commissioners work sessions…

Meanwhile, Solicitor Garen Fedeles is recommending 40 sets of minutes be formally approved at a commissioners meeting later this month.
