Henry Mancini Academy Partners With Aliquippa Impact

Henry Mancini Academy is announcing a partnership with Aliquippa Impact to provide arts to children in Henry Mancini’s hometown. Academy Director Meg Pryor tells Beaver County Radio newsman Pat Septak that the Academy is providing Aliquippa Impact with a musical theater workshop that encompasses singing, acting, choreography and staging….

The workshops are held each Wednesday after school.

Allegheny County Deputy District Attorney Joe Hopper Passes Away

Allegheny County Deputy District Attorney Joe Hopper – formerly of Moon Township and more recently, Sewickley – has passed away. Speaker of the House MIke Turzai issued a statement calling Hopper a consummate professional. He said Hopper was fair, honest above-board, thorough and detailed and was respectful to everyone. He said Hopper was also a loving and dedicated husband and father. Joe Hopper is survived by his wife Loretta and his four children.

One Person Injured In Moon Township House Fire

Investigators are looking into a house an overnight house fire in Moon Township. Firefighters were called to the home on Rosemont Drive around 1:30 a.m. The homeowner was later seen being taken from the scene on a stretcher. His name and condition have not been released. The house was totally destroyed.
