This time next week the Pirates will be playing the games that ultimately count, but there’s still some scores left to settle.

Bucs broadcaster John Wehner talked about the ongoing battles for Opening Day roster spots taking place in the latter days of Spring Training in Bradenton, including the battle for first base between Todd Frazier and Phillip Evans, as well as the offense/defense battle at shortstop between Erik Gonzalez and Kevin Newman.

Wehner also talked with Matt Drzik about the unfortunate loss of pitcher Steven Brault for the next 4-10 weeks, as the need for pitching personnel in the 2021 season is more crucial than ever before.
