(Center Township, PA) The Central Valley Li’l Warriors have removed former NFL player and Aliquippa native Tommie Campbell as a coach of its Twerp team.

According to a recent statement from the team, there was an incident between Campbell and his son during the Twerp football game on Saturday where Campbell became frustrated with his child on the field and removed him.

Campbell’s firing occurred on that same evening during an emergency executive board meeting.

The statement from the Central Valley Li’l Warriors also confirms that safety of their children is their top priority and it also noted that the organization of the team has been in contact with the Center Township Police Department and is fully cooperating in the investigation into the incident between Campbell and his son.

Someone from the organization is also understanding that it is working on placing Campbell on a ban that prohibits him from going on all property of the Central Valley School District.

Campbell was an assistant coach in his first year coaching the Twerp team of the Central Valley Li’l Warriors before he was removed from his position.
