(Pittsburgh, PA) Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy has made a change to the process of selecting the team’s captains.

McCarthy said during a press conference yesterday: “We’ll do the weekly captain format.”

The Steelers and other teams usually have team captains for the season.

The Steelers captains last season were quarterback Aaron Rodgers, defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, linebacker T.J. Watt, and safety/special teams player Miles Killebrew.

Killebrew is the only captain from last year’s Steelers team that is not on the team this year because he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the offseason.
