Penguins trade forward Filip Hallander to Oilers in exchange for defenseman Spencer Stastney

(Pittsburgh, PA) The Pittsburgh Penguins recently traded forward Filip Hallander to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for defenseman Spencer Stastney.  

The twenty-six-year-old Stastney is signed to the Penguins through the 2026-2027 season with a contract that carries a $1.525 million average annual value. 

Stastney played 117 regular season games in four years, recording four goals, 15 assists and 19 points. 

He played for both the Oilers and the Nashville Predators. 

The Predators drafted Stastney in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
