(Floral Park, NY) The New York Islanders announced yesterday that they hired former Pittsburgh Penguins hockey player Pascal Dupuis as director of player development. The forty-seven-year-old Dupuis spent the past three seasons in the front office for the Shawinigan Cataractes in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League and has been with that team in various capacities for the past six years since becoming a co-owner. Dupuis played fifteen years in the National Hockey League and is a Stanley Cup champion as part of the 2009 Penguins championship team.
