Murray Shines For Penguins In Ottawa

The Penguins were victorious once again on Thursday night, defeating the Senators 3-1 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.

Neither team scored in the first, but Patric Hornqvist tallied with 5 minutes to go in the second, and with 9 seconds to go in the frame, Jake Guentzel notched his 6th of the season and what proved to be the game-winner. Billy Sheehan picked up his first goal in a Pittsburgh uniform to seal it with 31 seconds left in the game.

Matt Murray only stopped 21 shots on the night, but an early robbery of Mike Hoffman in the 1st was a key play that kept the game scoreless. After the game, Murray had some thoughts about that save:

Pittsburgh (11-7-3) now returns to the PPG Paints Arena on Saturday night to face the Chicago Blackhawks. Pregame is at 6:30 on Beaver County Radio, and puck drop is at 7:00.
