Two Roads Collapse In Zelienople As State Of Emergency Continues

A state of emergency continues in Zelienople today as flood waters have caused two roads to collapse. Rising waters caused Williams Drive to break apart and collapse. The road leads to six businesses. And rising water also caused Gutenkunst Road to collapse. The Mayor of Zelienople, Thomas Oliverio, declared a State of Emergency Tuesday night due to heavy rain and severe flooding. The water is still high in the borough, flowing fast down main street. The mayor is urging people to stay indoors and avoid traveling. Impacted areas included Main Street, East Beaver Street, West Beaver Street, Jefferson Street, Clay Street, Green Lane and West New Castle Street.
