Thousands of Penguins Fans Turn Out For Stanley Cup Parade in Downtown Pittsburgh

Hundreds of thousands of fans turned out in Downtown Pittsburgh this morning to celebrate the Penguins’ triumphant return with the Stanley Cup. The 11:30 a.m. victory parade celebrating Sunday’s clinching championship game over the San Jose Sharks included a fleet of convertibles and other vehicles carrying the players and their families. The procession began on the Martin Luther King Jr. East Busway near the U.S. Courthouse, before makings it way on to Grant Street. It’s been named the largest sports parade in Pittsburgh history.
