Teachers across the state are utilizing a viral campaign to get free school supplies. A teacher in Texas began the “Clear the Lists” hashtag about a month ago as a way to help furnish her classroom. Every year, thousands of teachers nationwide spend their own money on supplies, which often totals in the hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. With #Clear-the-Lists, teachers create an Amazon Wish List that the general public can purchase and then send to them.
