Suspect In 2013 Beaver Falls Murder Outside Elk’s Club Turns In Self

The suspect sought in a 2013 murder outside the Elk’s Club in Beaver Falls is in custody. Beaver Falls Police Chief Charles Jones tells Beaver County Radio newsman Pat Septak that 34-year-old Eric Washington turned himself in on Saturday. Washington is accused of opening fire outside the Elk’s Club in April 2013, killing Jerome Goosby and wounding Wally Pickens. Authorities say Washington was identified by Pickens as the shooter. Police also recovered a cell phone near the scene that contained Washington’s DNA. The District Attorney says Pickens’ statement along with other witness accounts led to the arrest. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 19.
