Storm damage observed in Aliquippa; two hour delay this morning for Aliquippa School District

(Aliquippa, PA) Storm damage was observed in the City of Aliquippa yesterday. The Aliquippa Firefighters were busy cleaning up on the main thoroughfare and ensuring safety across the city after a few incidents occurred. Crews worked to cut a massive tree that fell onto power lines on Main Street. It fell near the Junior and Senior High School. Police also closed Main Street between Carroll Street and Franklin Avenue at that time. There were also several reports of downed trees along Kennedy Boulevard, Morado Road and Kennedy Hill and there were power outages in neighborhoods and along Burton Road. Aliquippa School District also has a two-hour-delay this morning as a result of these incidents.
