(Pittsburgh, PA) PennDOT District 11 announced schedule changes for beam delivery and placement work on Interstate 79 in Marshall Township and Franklin Park Borough this week, weather permitting.
The work will take place during overnight hours and is expected to result in temporary road closures and detours in the area. The schedule and detour for this work can be found below.
Local and state police will assist with traffic control at signalized intersections during the closures.
PennDOT confirmed that the updated schedule for beam delivery and placement operations is expected to occur between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night, according to the following schedule:
ADDED: Tuesday, June 9th
- Southbound I-79 will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between the Route 910/Wexford (Exit 73) off and on-ramps to accommodate beam deliveries.
Wednesday, June 10th
- Southbound I-79 will be closed and detoured at the Route 910/Wexford (Exit 73) interchange for beam placement work.
- Northbound I-79 will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between the off and on-ramps at the Route 910/Wexford (Exit 73) interchange to accommodate the beam placement work.
DIRECTIONAL CHANGE: Thursday, June 11th
- Southbound I-79 will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between the Route 910/Wexford (Exit 73) off and on-ramps to accommodate beam deliveries.
Friday, June 12th
- Southbound I-79 will be closed and detoured at the Route 910/Wexford (Exit 73) interchange for beam placement work.
- Northbound I-79 will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between the off and on-ramps at the Route 910/Wexford (Exit 73) interchange to accommodate the beam placement work.

- Cross over Route 910/Wexford Bayne Road onto the on-ramp to southbound I-79
