WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans and Democrats seem to agree that former special counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony this week could be pivotal in shifting public opinion on the question of holding President Donald Trump accountable. Republicans say they’ll focus on making clear Mueller’s report represents a “final episode” in the Russia probe and say any thought of Trump’s impeachment “is waning.” Democrats plan to air evidence of wrongdoing by Trump in a potentially last-ditch bid to impeach him.
