(Harrisburg, PA) Representative Joshua D. Kail (R-15) and Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46) recently announced they helped secure $698,631 in state funding from the Local Share Account (LSA) Program to improve the baseball and softball fields and playground in Hanover Township in Beaver County, which are operated by South Side Athletic Organization.

According to Kail and Bartolotta, the project includes installing nine 50-foot, steel light poles, building concrete pole bases, placing underground conduit running to all pole locations, completing all wire pulls and electrical connections to the power system, and supplying and installing energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures and control systems.

The addition of a lighting system will give expansion to access to youth baseball and softball programs and increase opportunities for community events, league play and tournaments.
