Prison Sentence Imposed in Drive-By Shooting That Preceded Fatal Police Shooting of Unarmed Teen

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A six- to 22-year prison sentence has been imposed in a drive-by shooting that preceded the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black teenager fleeing a traffic stop. Zaijuan Hester was sentenced Monday on earlier guilty pleas to aggravated assault and firearms crimes in the June 2018 shooting in North Braddock. Minutes later, authorities said, he and 17-year-old Antwon Rose Jr. fled a car stop, and Rose was shot and killed by a police officer who was later acquitted.
