(Cranberry Township, PA) A Cranberry Township man was recently charged after police said that he sent sexually explicit messages to a member of a private pedophile-catching group who was posing as a 13-year-old online. 

Thirty-two-year-old Eric Zachary Trylko was charged on Wednesday with felony criminal attempt to receive child sexual abuse material and felony criminal use of communication facility. 

Cranberry Township police confirmed that officers were called to a house on Glenbrook Drive as a private group named Predator Poachers was trying to confront Trylko. 

A representative of the group told police that they were posing as a 13-year-old on Telegram. The representative also told police that they were contacted on September 14th by a user that was called “Jax,” who was later identified as Trylko. 

Police affirmed that Trylko confirmed his age as 32 years old and he sent pictures of himself to the representative. Trylko described acts that are sexual and he repeatedly asked the representative to take sexually explicit videos or images to send to him. 

Police stated that Trylko’s messages also noted that he previously received images and videos from at least three other children. 

According to police, Trylko admitted during an interview on September 19th that he messaged the representative, whom he believed to be a 13-year-old at the time.

Trylko will be undergoing a preliminary hearing soon.
