(Pittsburgh, PA) Pittsburgh International Airport has been named the 2027 Airport of the Year by Air Transport World, which is a global air transportation publication.  

The airport also won the same award in 2017 and it is now the first airport in the United States to win this award twice.

Air Transport World’s Airline Industry Achievement Awards recognize excellence throughout operations of airports and they are said to be considered the most desired awards in the industry of air transportation.

One of the reasons that Pittsburgh International Airport received this award is the new, $1.7 billion terminal that opened at Pittsburgh International Airport in 2025.
