(Harrisburg, PA) According to a release from Attorney General Michelle Henry, there is a phishing scam going around concerning false usage on banking accounts in which thieves can steal information and data that is personal. Henry also states that scammers give the victims either contact information through calling a phone number or to respond to texts or emails, and then they will ask for authorization to access accounts or facts only available to you, like a social security number. Henry suggests that you should never answer any of these responses and that an alternative option would be to look at the back of either your credit or debit card and call the phone number on that side.
