(Harrisburg, PA) A group of Pennsylvania state lawmakers and industry groups are asking the state’s Supreme Court to push back the deadline for businesses to get rid of skill games.

This was filed in court on Friday and this petition comes after lawmakers in Pennsylvania held their last scheduled voting day and did not pass new regulations.

The games that are used by gas stations and other businesses would become illegal on Tuesday, October 13th if the deadline is not extended.

The filing in court asks for this deadline to be pushed back until February 10th, 2027.

This states that legislative compromise that regulates skill games is in the works, and eliminating skill games in the time for the time being would impede the process.

Many businesses and organizations use these games as a source of revenue.

Officials estimate that there are about 70,000 skill games throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
