PennDOT: Thompson Hill Road Repairs Start Today in Independence Township

PennDOT District 11 is announcing roadway repairs requiring a closure on Thompson Hill Road (Route 3023) in Independence Township, Beaver County, will begin Tuesday, October 15 weather permitting. A portion of Thompson Hill Road will close to through traffic between Ridge Road and Route 151 beginning at approximately 6 a.m. continuously through Wednesday, October 30. Crews from Precision Pipeline LLC will conduct repairs on a sinkhole at the Energy Transfer pipeline crossing. Local traffic will be permitted to the closure.

North of the Closure

  • From Thompson Hill Road, take Tank Farm Road (Route 3022) eastbound
  • Turn right onto Independence Road (Route 3013)
  • Turn left onto Gringo Independence Road (Route 3026)
  • Turn right onto Gringo Road (Route 151)
  • Gringo Road becomes Bocktown Road (Route 151)
  • Follow Bocktown Road back to Thompson Hill Road
  • End detour

South of the Closure

  • Same detour in the opposite direction
