Penn State-Beaver Professor On Administrative Leave For Alleged Attempted Kidnapping

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Authorities say a Penn State-Beaver professor working as an Uber driver has been charged with harassing and holding two women in his vehicle over the weekend. Pittsburgh police allege that Richard Lomotey was supposed to drive to Penn Hills but veered from the route. They say he pulled over and tried to lock the doors, but the women were able to escape. He’s charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment and harassment. Uber calls the alleged actions “unacceptable.”
