Parents Slam Schools that Don’t Warn Them of Threats

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Parents have blasted schools that didn’t warn them of threats after they learned about them in the news. When trying to strike a balance between privacy and informing the community, security experts say schools should tell parents as much as they can as soon as possible. Some school districts are now sending letters home even if a threat isn’t specific or to warn what consequences children face if they make a threat.
