Parents of Moon area students have been alerted to a second diagnosed case of whooping cough, this time at the middle school. Similar letters were sent March 11 and 12 to parents of students at J.H. Brooks and McCormick elementary schools. The health department warns parents to immediately contact a doctor if they develop symtoms of the disease. Symptoms usually include a long series of “coughing fits” followed by a whooping noise.
