On Saturday afternoon an employee of a Lawrence Co. tavern called police when Mark Reno of New Castle who had been banned, made an appearance. Trooper Joseph Vascetti proceeded to Reno’s home since he had left the bar by the time he got there. A struggle ensued and Reno attempted to punch, strike and kick the Trooper. Reno asked a friend to retrieve a handgun, but fortunately, he did not comply. The accused was eventually subdued and arrested and is being charged with Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault and Resisting arrest. and was placed in the Lawrence County jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bond
