Jury Finds Man Guilty In 2012 Murder Of Pregnant Woman in Ambridge

A man has been convicted of two counts of second-degree murder in his retrial in the 2012 slaying of a pregnant Ambridge woman and her unborn child. Thirty-one-year-old Marlin “Twin” Kelly was also convicted Monday in Beaver County of conspiracy in the October 2012 shooting deaths of 19-year-old Conekeia Lynn “Coco” Finney and her unborn daughter. Prosecutors allege that Finney and another man went to an Ambridge apartment to rob the boyfriend of Finney, who was about seven months pregnant. He was convicted and sentenced to life but was granted a new trial last year. Kelly’s attorney argued that his client hadn’t agreed to commit robbery, an essential element of a second-degree murder conviction. A co-defendant pleaded guilty to homicide and was sentenced to 13 to 30 years.
