Fallen Tree In Hanover Township Causes Propane Leak; 3 Homes Evacuated

Everyone is back home safe after a fallen tree caused a propane leak leading to the evacuation of three Hanover Township homes over the weekend. The tree fell onto two 500-gallon tanks in the 100-block of Oak Lane late Sunday evening. The homes were evacuated for about 12 hours until the gas dissipated. Since propane is heavier than air, the gas remains lower to the ground longer. No one was hurt.
