(Beaver County, PA) Duquesne Light is providing its customers with tips on how they can prepare for potential outages as severe storms are expected to sweep through Western Pennsylvania.
DLC said in a recent post on social media that it strongly encourages customers to review the company’s storm plan on what to do before and after a power outage occurs, along with reporting any outages or downed wires in your area.
According to this post from DLC, “Call 9-1-1 for any emergency medical issues that could be impacted by an outage. Avoid any downed power lines and give ample space to lineworkers, and avoid walking under or around dead or dying trees.”
The post comes as officials say that heavy rain and winds as fast as 50 miles per hour are expected to sweep through the area today.
You can report any outages by visiting DLC’s website by clicking here or by calling 888-393-7000.
