Late Saturday night, a woman was taken to the hospital after being found shot in the back on East Carson Street in the South Side Flats .

She was reportedly shot by someone inside a vehicle, which then fled the scene, according to Officers who found her on the street at about 11:30 p.m.

No description of the vehicle or the shooter was available. Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
