(Cranberry Township, PA) The Cranberry Township board will hold a public hearing at its meeting on December 10th, which involves a proposed Emergency Services Authority that would set a mandatory fee for EMS in Cranberry.
If it is formed, the authority will start meeting in January of 2027 to determine the fee.
During an agenda preparation meeting on Thursday, supervisors authorized the advertisement of the hearing and the intent of Cranberry Township to form the municipal authority.
According to Cranberry Township board of supervisors chairman Bruce Hezlep, roughly 15 to 20 EMS agencies have closed just this year due to insolvency in the state of Pennsylvania.
