(Washington, D.C.) Congressman Chris Deluzio spoke out against a bill which he notes would cut benefits for military veterans. He joined with colleagues and union representatives in Washington, D.C. yesterday to go against this legislation, which would reduce and remove benefits for over 150 million veterans and cut $57 billion in future disability payments in the next ten years. Deluzio is a veteran himself and is against legislation that would make significant cuts to the VA home loan benefit, remove protections in the workplace, make it easier to reduce levels of staffing that are already low, and take a bigger step in privatizing VA medical care.
