BREAKING NEWS: THE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF BEAVER COUNTY IS STEPPING DOWN. DOCTOR CHRIS REBER – WHO HAS SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF CCBC SINCE 2014 – ANNOUNCED TO THE CAMPUS YESTERDAY THAT HE HAS BEEN OFFERED – AND HAS ACCEPTED AN APPOINTMENT AS PRESIDENT OF HUDSON COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN NEW JERSEY. REBER SAID HE ACCEPTED THE APPOINTMENT WITH VERY MIXED EMOTIONS, KNOWING THAT CCBC IS – IN HIS WORDS – “IN A STRONG POSITION AND HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE”. REBER’S RESIGNATION IS EFFECTIVE JULY 1ST. CCBC’S BOARD OF TRUSTEES SAYS IT WILL NOW CONSIDER INTERIM LEADERSHIP AS THE SEARCH FOR A REPLACEMENT MOVES FORWARD.
