The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band is coming to town on Saturday,  May 27 at 6pm in Townsend Park, in the 600 block of Third  Avenue, across from the New Brighton municipal building.

The Townsend Park concert is sponsored by the Beaver County Commissioners’ community matching grant through Beaver County Tourism and the New Brighton Business District Authority,  coordinated by the Beaver Valley Musicians Union, Local 82-545.

This free Townsend Park outdoor performance officially kicks off the “2023 Summer Concerts in the Park” series planned for Beaver  County.

The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band plays swing music spanning the fabulous Big Band era to the present day – featuring hits by the dance bands of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Brian Setzer.

The BopCats are supporting the next generation of musicians, by  donating a portion of the band’s annual proceeds to local high  school music scholarships, for serious students who are pursuing  careers in music.
