(Shippingport Borough, PA) Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver reported today that sixty-five-year-old Patricia Amati-Scavo of Beaver Falls was charged after a two-vehicle crash occurred in Shippingport Borough on September 9th.

Amati-Scavo and thirty-seven-year-old Farran McBride of Hookstown were driving in opposite directions on State Route 168 at 5:07 p.m.

Amati-Scavo made a turn that was unsafe onto the Shippingport Bridge and crossed in front of McBride’s vehicle, which caused McBride to hit Amati-Scavo’s vehicle with her vehicle.

Both drivers were transported for evaluation of their injuries that they suffered during the crash.
