Beaver County Humane Society Reminds People About New PA Law – Don’t Leave Your Pets Out In The Cold!

Forecasters say the coldest air is yet to come…despite 5 straight days of sub-zero wind chills! With that in mind, the Beaver County Humane Society wants to remind everyone- please don’t leave your pets out in the cold! You should know that it is against the law to leave a dog outside for more than 30 minutes when the temperature drops below freezing. Pennsylvania’s new Animal Cruelty Prevention law went into effect in June. But there have already been many reports of animals freezing to death because their owners left them outside in these brutally cold conditions. If you have any questions about the new law, you can contact the Humane Society at beavercountyhumanesociety.org.
