Beaver County Commissioners Have Yet To Come To Agreement On Whether To Raise Taxes in 2017 Budget

The Beaver County Commissioners are undecided on what to do about a tax increase for next year, and after a nearly three-hour meeting today, the commissioners will hold another public work session Friday at 1:00. According to Beaver County Radio’s Great Benedetti, the commissioners have started to center their conversations on a two-point-eight mill tax increase that would still leave the county with a three-million-dollar deficit next year. Budget director Ricardo Luckow says the projected deficit for next year is nine-point-two million dollars.
