(Beaver County, Pa.) The 2021 primary election in Beaver County resulted in a very light voter turnout, election officials reported Tuesday night.
The results are only partial with 129 precincts reporting, there were 26,824 votes cast, 11,525 Democratic votes, 14,057 Republican, and 1,242 non- partisan. The voter turnout was 23.74%,22.20% Democrats, 30.48% Republicans, and 8.29% non-partisan.
Democratic Justice of the Supreme Court Maria McLaughlin received 8,699 votes for 97.68%, and 207 write-ins for 2.32%. Democratic judge of the Superior Court Jill Beck received 6,370 votes for 63.21%, Bryan Neft received 2,440 votes for 24.21%.
Democratic Judge of the Commonwealth Court Amanda Green Hawkins received 7,290 votes for 45.74% of the vote, David Lee Spurgeon received 6,029 votes for 37.83% of the votes.
School board, township commissioner, council and school board races were also reported..
