(Beaver County, PA) Thirty-one-year-old Jon Cardona Michael of Baden was charged with robbery and other offenses because he was accused of committing a carjacking after a hit-and-run crash in Beaver County. 

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Michael crashed a truck at the intersection of State Route 168 and State Route 30 in Greene Township at approximately 3:59 p.m. yesterday and then escaped the scene. 

Investigators stated that Michael walked along Route 168, which was where he came into contact with a Jeep Gladiator that was sitting at a red light.  

Troopers confirmed that Michael opened the door of the Jeep and pulled the driver from the vehicle before getting in and driving away. 

Michael then crashed the driver’s vehicle at the intersection of Red Dog Road and Little Blue Road. 

Police affirm that Michael escaped that crash as well, but he was eventually apprehended and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital to be treated for the injuries that he sustained in the second crash. 

Michael faces charges of accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles or property, driving with a suspended or revoked license, several felony robbery charges and theft by unlawful taking.
