Allegheny Technologies Won’t Reopen 2 Plants, Including Midland

Some bad news today involving hundreds of layoffs in Beaver County. Allegheny Technologies announced that it’s closing its doors permanently at the plant in Midland. As a result, 250 people will be out of a job. The A-T-I plant was idled back in January but officials initially said that they did plan to re-open it. The company is also officially closing its electrical steel finishing facility in Bagdad, Pennsylvania.
