(Canonsburg, PA) Allegheny Health Network announced today plans to build a new Canonsburg Hospital in Cecil Township.

The 150,000-square-foot hospital will be constructed on a 10-acre site in the Southpointe II business park at the intersection of Town Center Way and Mylan Boulevard.

Pending regulatory approvals, AHN expects to break ground on the project in early 2027, with the hospital scheduled to open in 2029.

The new facility will replace the current AHN Canonsburg Hospital, which was founded in 1904 and has operated along Medical Boulevard since 1983.

According to AHN, the hospital will offer primary, emergency, surgical and critical care services. The campus will also include a medical office building for physicians and outpatient clinics.
