Aliquippa School Board approves a teacher’s retirement and hires a full-time custodian

(Aliquippa, PA) Aliquippa Elementary School fifth grade math teacher Kirstin Pilotti’s retirement  was approved by the Aliquippa School Board at last Wednesday night’s meeting. The effective retirement date is June 2, 2023.  Heather Lipinski resigned her post as a pre-k paraprofessional effective March 29, 2023, and the board approved the permission to fill the vacancy.

D’Von Jeter was hired to fill a full-time Class  1 custodial position on the evening shift at the elementary school.
All district administrators were approved to attend a 3-day professional development  titled: A School Leaders who Coach Effective instruction. It is a 43 hour PIL by way of the BVIU. All administrators will attend, and the cost of the course is $4,009.50.
The board approved new black uniforms for the football team through the district vendor. Cost is not to exceed $12,000.
