(Aliquippa, Pa.) Aliquippa Police Chief John Lane reported on Tuesday, October 13, 2021, that Aliquippa Police received a call that eight shots rang out at 8:49 p.m. Sunday night, October 10, 2021, in the area of Washington St. and Fourth Avenue on Plan 11 in the city.
Chief Lane said that when police arrived, they discovered a 30-year-old unidentified male was found to be shot once in the torso, and once in the arm. Chief Lane said the shooting was a case of mistaken identity. The individual was air-lifted to a Pittsburgh hospital , he had surgery for his injuries and is in good condition and remains in the ICU.
The investigation into the shooting is continuing.
