(Aliquippa, PA) Aliquippa Police Chief John Lane recently released a statement regarding the recent acts of violent crime in Aliquippa, which includes a shooting that hospitalized four people on Sunday at around 12:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Linmar Terrace.

Lane confirmed that his police department is increasing the presence of officers through additional patrols in the area where violent crime has happened and they are working to hold and identify those that are responsible for these violent actions accountable.

The goals of this enforcement are to reassure residents of Aliquippa, deter more violence and respond effectively and quickly to criminal activity.

However, Lane is also asking for the help of the community to get more information on these recent incidents of violence because he states people either do not come forward, become hostile or refuse to cooperate with officers.
