(Pittsburgh, PA) Gas prices are three cents lower in Western Pennsylvania this week at $4.16 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

After a week of falling prices, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is back on the rise, and it is now $4.06.

That average is five cents higher than last week.

Crude oil prices are in the range of $80 per barrel again amid the continued uncertainty along the Strait of Hormuz.

Even though demand for gasoline is down, prices of crude oil are keeping prices at the pump higher than normal for this time of the year.

This is the highest August on record so far when it comes to the national average for gasoline.

The average price that you can expect for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Beaver County is about $4.29.
