(Pittsburgh, PA) Gas prices are seven cents lower in Western Pennsylvania this week at about $4.64 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline dropped to $4.36 after decreasing 11 cents over the past week to $4.36.

This comes after a record-setting September at the gas pump.

The monthly average was $4.33, which is 50 cents higher than the previous September record of $3.83 that was set in 2023. Crude oil prices have gone back into the range of $90 per barrel, which lowers the national average, but gas prices overall are still the highest that they have ever been for this time of year.
