“Meet the Candidates” George David Democrat for Beaver County Sheriff

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) As a part of the continuing series too meet the candidates running for office Frank Sparks, host of Teleforum, was joined by former Beaver County Sheriff George David who is again running to become Beaver County Sheriff in the 10 o’clock hour.

David talked about him growing up in Aliquippa and graduating from Aliquippa High School. David talked about working in the Mill after graduation and then being interested in becoming a police officer. He told stories of relatives who were officers and how that influenced him at a young.  George talked about his law enforcement career starting in Aliquippa and then being appointed by Gov. Tom Ridge to be the Sheriff of Beaver County in 1996. David was defeated in the 1999 primary by former Sheriff Felix DeLuca. David talked about what he learned in those experiences and that he ran again and was elected in 2007 and 2011. David talked about seeking re-election and being defeated in the primary in May of 2015.

Sparks then asked David after everything that you went through when you were Sheriff why would you want to run again and put yourself through all of that and David responded I have broad shoulders and it’s in my blood. David said “when you are doing something you love it’s not a job”

David is up against fellow Democrat Wayne Kress which is who he lost to in the 2015 primary. The winner of tomorrow’s primary will then face off against current Beaver County Sheriff Tony Guy ,who is running unopposed on the Republican ticket in the general election on November 5, 2019.

“Meet the Candidates” Sarah Pannell Republican for Beaver County Controller

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) Sarah Pannell who is a Republican Candidate for Beaver County Controller stopped by Teleforum with Frank Sparks on Monday May 20, 2019 in the nine o’clock hour. Sarah told the listeners about her early life, family life, professional life and finally why she wanted to be the Next Beaver County Controller. Sarah’s opponent on the Republican Ticket is Maria Longo. The winner out of Sarah and Maria will move on to face the winner of current Beaver County Controller David Rossi and Candice Mc Munn, who are on the Democratic Ticket in the November 5 election.  Three of the four candidates for Controller were interviewed on Teleforum with Frank Sparks.   All interviews were also streamed live on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/beavercountyradio/

Pirates Treasure Chest makes an appearance at Abbey Carpet and Floor

(Center Twp., Pa.) The Beaver County Radio Pittsburgh Pirates Treasure Chest made an appearance  at Abbey Carpet and Floor on Saturday May 18, 2019. Frank Sparks, Host of Teleforum and Ed Hermick did a live broadcast from 12 noon until 2 p.m.. The personality prize wheel and the famous WBVP/WMBA Prize Van also made an appearance. Brenden Weldaw answered the Pirates Trivia Question on Facebook correctly and beacause he was the first one that showed up at Abbey Carpet and Floor he won a pair of Pirate tickets against the Detroit Tigers. Beaver County Radio and the Pirates Treasure Chest at Life Beaver County on Friday May 17, 2019

(Center Twp., Pa) The Beaver County Radio Pittsburgh Pirates Treasure Chest made an appearance at Life Beaver County in Center Twp. Frank Sparks, Host of Teleforum and Ed “The Master” Hermick were on  hand for a live broadcast from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on 1230 WBVP and 1460 WMBA.

The participants had a good time playing games and spinning the prize wheel and the highlight of the day the Pittsburgh Pirates Treasure Chest. The participants had to answer Pirates trivia questions correctly to get to make a trip into the chest and pick out a prize.  Ed Hermick was the emcee for Bingo in which the winners received a prize.

Your next chance to win prizes out of the Beaver County Radio Pittsburgh Pirates Treasure Chest  will be Saturday May 18, 2019 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Abbey Carpet and Floor located off of the Center Exit on 376 in Center Twp.

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) Eric Loehlein from BV Matters stopped by Teleforum with Frank Sparks on Tuesday May 14, 2019 in the 11 o’clock hour. Eric is an employee of First Energy and he has put together a Facebook Page called BV Matters to get people together to help fight for the jobs of the approximately 1000 employees who will lose their job if the announced shutdown goes through.

Eric talked with the listeners and told about what is going on from the employee side and what they are doing to fight to stop the shutdown. Senior Day at Beaver County Nissan

 (Chippewa, PA.) It was Senior Day at Beaver County Nissan and Beaver County Radio was there along with the Pirates Treasure Chest. Frank Sparks host of Teleforum did a live broadcast from 10-12 noon. Ed Hermick manned the Beaver County Radio Personality Prize wheel. There was fun had by all. Sherri Zibaila Democratic Candidate for Prothonotary stops by Teleforum on Tuesday May 14, 2019

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) Sherri Zibaila who is a candidate on the Democratic ticket for  Beaver County Prothonotary stopped by Teleforum Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Sherri’s interview was part of the continuing series in which Frank Sparks has  been highlighting the candidates running for office in Beaver County on Teleforum.

Zibaila told the listeners about who Sherri Zibaila is and why she wants to be the next Prothonotary of Beaver County. She discussed  growing up as a young girl and graduating from East Palestine High School. Sherri also attended YSU and Kent State. She has been married to her husband Mike for close to 18 years. Sherri and Mike also have two children, one boy and one girl. Sherri is currently a working as a legal assistant for Terri Mitko in Beaver. Sherri feels she is the  most qualified for the Prothonotary with her legal background. Zibaila said she also has the support of the current Prothonotary, Nancy Werme who is not seeking another term.
